16 and pregnant. U were one too? I had the opportunity to watch this on MTV just now. There were too many things that gone through my mind. I was thinking a lot about the girls that I was assigned to work with, To manage their cases, To help them help themselves. Although not all are exactly pregnant, But most of them are very much exposed to moral danger, And I think if they get to see this show by any chance, It would be a good eye opener for them. How they can see through the journey the teenagers have to go through, Especially those pregnant girls, The challenges that the girls need to through, Be it physically, mentally and especially emotional. I was exceptionally touched by one of the couple that actually decided to give the baby for open adoption because they are aware of the fact That they just cannot afford to give the baby a good life and they have to break the vicious cycle, And they made the brave decision. A smart one too.
This is definitely more humane than aborting one right. People can choose to ‘throw’ it physical being, but I’m pretty sure the guilt will stay and haunt the girl forever, Of course to those who really realized it and learn from their mistakes.
Sadly, to some, it is just another journey in life that they chose to go through And get over and done with it. Be proud of the misery that they actually created for themselves And get all delusional and not realistic about it. Created a pet name for themselves when they don’t even realized they just brutally murdered a life, which THEY themselves chose to create it in the 1st place. This is gravely sad. And I get to see this almost all the time during my work. and it is definitely not something nice to deal with every single day, it's like at times you want to tell them straight to their faces, like it's because of your stupidity, you ruined your life, and the life that you just murdered, but I know this is not the way to handle them, no matter how stupid their actions were, they need someone to be there to support them.
So, I really hope He’ll constantly guide me through this and help me to help the girls help themselves. Labels: fear, hope, of my general tots |
